This is beautiful. And on the topic of sleepovers and kids getting stuck in uncomfortable situations: My mom and I had a code, ever since my first sleepover. I would always call home to say goodnight, and if I asked “How is the cat doing?”, it meant that I wasn’t comfortable and I wanted her to pick me up. I did use this code a few times, and whenever I did, my mom came up with the excuses for me. I was never stuck at a sleepover I didn’t want to be at - and as a child with anxiety and social phobia, this was a great system.

posts like these are the reason i love tumblr

What really grates on my nerves is that those were things in the first place. TUMBLR IS AMAZING

okay okay but hear me out: wizarding tattoos

tattoos of cats that wind around your ankles, birds that fly across your back when you move, a wand that moves when you move your own wand, a map on the back of your hand that shows your current location

the possibilities are endless

"cool you have a cat tattoo can i see it?"

"uh i think it’s sleeping on my ass right now. maybe later."

False.
That statue on the left has nothing to do with the Statue of Liberty in New York.  That statue is the Lady Liberty statue at the Agrément roundabout on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten, AND the statue was constructed in 2007, NOT in the late 19th century.
Also, there is no such evidence that says that the original design was perceived by Americans as or refused on the grounds that the statue was a black woman.  The African Americans had a huge role in supporting and raising funds for the pedestal for the statue, but aside from that they were not involved in the design process.

So yeah, educate yourselves and stop spreading this around.
